Rogue never failed to find it adorable when Steve admitted he didn't know or understand something. There were so many people who would bumble through things just to try to save face, but Steve wasn't ever ashamed of his lack of knowledge, he simply took steps to fill in the gaps so he would know next time. She was proud of him for choosing to live his life that way.
Pressing the button to make sure the battery still had some juice, set the thermometer on the back of her tongue and waited for about thirty seconds until there was quiet beep that signaled the reading was complete. She removed the thermometer, took a glance at the temperature displayed, and promptly handed it over to Steve.
