Steve nodded, the movement a little jerky in his nervousness. He liked that she was so nice about it, didn't seem upset that he couldn't devote his time right this minute to at least a little longer getting to know her. He'd seen girls act like that with guys (ie Bucky) even when they weren't soulmates. So he was glad Marie wasn't like that.

"Okay," he responded. "That's--that's perfect." He tried giving her a pleased smile, but was pretty sure it just came off as awkward. Which, to be fair, was kinda how he was feeling at the moment.
