Steve nodded, absorbing the information. His brain, at least, was no slouch when it came to exerting itself - it had plenty of practice picking up the slack when his body just couldn't do the things he wanted it to. "O-okay," he stuttered, pulling up beside her and gesturing for her to go ahead. Then he wondered if he should offer his arm to her. Was this dating? It really was just polite to offer your arm to a lady, but the few times he'd had occasion to try, he'd been politely but summarily ignored.
