It was strange how at ease Marie felt with Steve. Sure, she'd always gotten along well with people, that's just how she was, but with him it was more than that. She'd immediately let her guard down with him, which wasn't something she did with many people.

She hoped desperately that Bucky liked her.

"I am the queen of stubbornness, sugar" she informed him with a grin. "It looks like we're both gonna have our work cut out for us." It would certainly be interesting dealing with someone like her in that way.
