Marie stayed close to Bucky while Steve spoke with the nurse, trying her best to offer support wherever she possibly could. She was still feeling out the situation they had been tossed into by fate, but she knew that she cared about these two men and that was what mattered at the moment.

"Of course I'll come in, sugar," she assured Steve softly, reaching out to carefully take his hand in her own to give it a gentle squeeze. "I'm not letting the two of you do this on your own." She may not know Steve's mother, but she knew the grief that the two of them were about to experience. If she could help them get through that, even just a little bit, then she would.
