Sundays were nice because Marie always had off, it being the one day a week the shop was closed. She almost always got to see Steve and Bucky, or at least one of the two, and it was something she looked forward to. Seeing them briefly during the week when they stopped by after work was nice, but it was when they all got to spend a good length of time together that she really felt connected to them. There was a peacefulness and comfort found in their company, and she appreciated that more than she could ever express.
It didn't come as any surprise when there was a knock at her door, and she guessed correctly that Steve was the one behind it. Opening the door with a bright smile, she stepped back to let him inside. "Come on in, sugar, I was just making some lunch," she greeted him, closing the door before leaning in to press a kiss to Steve's cheek. "How was church?"
